Wicklow Mountains

In order to enjoy the beauty of nature we went to the Wicklow Mountains for a short hike and some traditional Irish food. But our most impressive adventure was the trip to the Cliffs of Moher. It took us four hours to get there by coach but it was worth it. Luckily the weather was nice, even though it was quite windy. It didn’t rain for the entire week which was surprising, almost a miracle.

However, we didn’t just admire the beautiful landscape but also encountered some Irish traditions and history: We went to the Kilmainham Jail. There the leaders of the Easter Rising were executed in 1916 which triggered the last and finally successful Irish revolution. Right afterwards we went to the Guinness storehouse to see an exhibition about the production and history of the famous beer.

Once we went to the Adventure Rooms, a place where the candidates are locked into a mysterious room and need to solve riddles in order to escape (We did this to improve our team skills, of course).

Sadly, the week was over too quickly.
